__ El Lagar Místico (Pintura del Virreinato de Nueva España)

[Fuente.- Adrián Contreras-Guerrero] El significado del Lagar Místico fue enriqueciéndose desde su nacimiento en el contexto medieval europeo hasta que cruzó el Atlántico para quedar repartido por numerosos museos y templos de toda Iberoamérica. En ese proceso de codificación de la imagen, se impuso un modelo concreto de Lagar entre la gran variedad de versiones que había tenido hasta entonces, sirviendo como herramienta vehicular para su propagación el grabado flamenco tan en boga en la pintura virreinal del momento. El presente texto conecta entre sí todos los discursos sociales, teológicos y artísticos que alumbraron tan poderosa imagen.

__ The Mystic Lagar (Painting of the Viceroyalty of New Spain)

[Source.- Adrián Contreras-Guerrero] The meaning of the Mystic Lagar was enriched from its birth in the medieval European context until it crossed the Atlantic to be distributed by numerous museums and temples throughout Ibero-America. In this process of codification of the image, a concrete model of Lagar was imposed between the great variety of versions that had had until then, serving as a vehicular tool for its propagation the flamenco engraving so in vogue in the viceregal painting of the moment. The present text connects all the social, theological and artistic discourses that gave rise to such a powerful image.
