El múltiple crimen se da por un encuentro entre los dos hermanos de Ignacia, que la quieren espiar sus actos con Fernando, pero al ser descubiertos estos por Ignacia, presa del pánico los dos hermanos la matan, dejando su cuerpo dentro de una gran tinaja, en su bodega, y acto seguido se marchan del pueblo, con la ayuda de Fernando, y éste al tener la codicia del dinero de los hermanos, los intenta dormir para robarles, pero se pasa con los somniferos, terminando con la vida de ellos, siendo que la trama termina con el descubrimiento del cuerpo de Ignacia y posteriormente de los hermanos en otro lugar, Siendo pues descubierto Fernando, por ser el ejecutor de tales actos es detenido y encarcelado.
